With all the polarization and animosity prevalent in today’s society. Maybe we should start with thinking about where it all comes from.

An elderly Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life…
He said to them, “A fight is going on inside me, it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One wolf is evil — he is fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, competition, superiority, and ego.
The other is good — he is joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too.”
They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied: “The one you feed.”
Kind of says it all.

Love that story. My brother gave it yo me shortly after my suicide attempt. It says it all. The “bad” wolf was getting fat before. Now I am feeding the “good” one. He is getting fat and happy! I also did a blog about it http://www.thebestbrainpossible.com/the-wolves-within
I find it very interesting you commented on this post Debbie … I almost cc’d you on the tweet publicizing it. I knew it would speak to you.
It does say it all! It’s the kind of inner war that goes on during whatever it is that we do. It’s one huge challenge that unites us all for we all (or almost all) share it. Thanks for sharing it, Clay!
